Customer order: Culture Homes

The original customer order shown on this page is a dark green 100 gsm non-woven shopping bag for Culture Homes. The customer artwork is retained in the photograph. This case explains fabric selection and handle construction for a custom printed shopping bag.

What the 100 gsm specification tells a buyer

Gsm means grams per square metre: the mass of fabric over a given area. Compared with common 80 gsm shopping-bag references and heavier 90 gsm options, this order uses a 100 gsm fabric specification. That describes the material weight, not a guaranteed thickness, a certified load or a fixed lifespan.

For a repeat-use bag, fabric selection should be reviewed with dimensions, seams, handles and intended contents. It is reasonable to request a more substantial fabric, but the finished construction still needs to suit the load and the way the bag is handled.

What to check in the handle detail

The detail photograph identifies X-shaped stitching at the handle attachment. Reinforcement spreads stress around the attachment area and is part of the construction specification. Handle width, attachment length, thread and seams should be reviewed together rather than relying on an X-shaped mark alone.

A carrying-load rating should be based on a documented test of the actual finished specification. The photographs provide a construction reference, not a universal load rating.

Use this reference to prepare your own bag brief

  • Send the contents and proposed bag width, height, gusset and handle length.
  • State the fabric weight and colour you want to review; the colour chart is a material reference, not proof of available stock.
  • Supply the logo artwork and intended print dimensions, including any gradient effect.
  • Confirm quantity, sample checks, destination and arrival date before production.

Send your specification for a quotation

Email the bag reference, dimensions, quantity, artwork and destination. If details are not final, start with the contents and intended use. Sampling, production timing, freight, currency and payment terms are confirmed for the project.
