Basic aggregate counts

No consent popup opens automatically. By default, public page loads increment daily counts grouped by Hong Kong date, approximate country/region and state/province code, source platform category and public page path. Basic counts use no visitor/session identifiers or tracking cookies. They store no raw IP, full referrer, search query, city, precise timestamp or device fingerprint. The network service processes connection IPs to deliver pages and estimate the region, but IPs are not sent to the analytics database.

These are page views, not unique people. Reloads and additional pages count again. Internal navigation is a separate category, without tracking an individual's journey. Missing referral information is labelled direct/unknown. Known bots, excluded internal devices, opt-outs and DNT/GPC signals are excluded; blockers and network failures can also cause undercounting.

Basic product-page viewing time

Basic counts also aggregate seconds while the page is visible and the window is focused. Time increments are sent about every 15 seconds and on leaving, without visitor identifiers, individual records or cross-page journeys. Average time is total active seconds divided by page views: an interest indicator, not proof of attention to a specific image or intent to buy. Quick exits, date boundaries and network interruptions affect accuracy.

Detailed analytics require opt-in

The detailed measurements below use random identifiers and begin only after you allow analytics in Privacy settings. Consent does not identify your employer. Company names must be provided voluntarily in enquiries, separately from analytics.

Information collected

• Random anonymous visitor and session identifiers.
• Page path, date, engagement time, scroll depth and searches within the product catalogue.
• Referring website, traffic source and campaign parameters.
• Device category, browser, language and screen size.
• Approximate country/region, city, network organisation and ASN supplied by the website network.
• Whether WhatsApp, email, telephone and quotation buttons were selected; message contents are not read.

Information excluded from analytics

We do not store raw IP addresses in the analytics database. Names, telephone numbers, email addresses, company/organisation names, project notes and other enquiry-form contents are not sent to analytics.

A network organisation is often an internet provider, telecom carrier or large organisation network. It is approximate and cannot reliably identify a visitor's employer.

Quotations and contact information

Quick-quotation details are passed to WhatsApp or your email application only after you choose one of those options. Company/organisation name is voluntary. Analytics record the contact-button event, not the information entered.

Retention

Basic aggregates and detailed analytics have a 730-day retention period. Expired records are removed when subsequent analytics requests are processed. Basic counts contain no visitor identifier and cannot be traced back to an individual's history.

Change your choice

Select Privacy settings at the bottom-left to choose Basic counts only, Allow analytics or Stop all analytics. Stopping disables both tiers and removes detailed analytics identifiers. A previous Essential only choice remains a full opt-out. This preference is stored in the current browser; set it separately in other browsers. Website and contact functions remain available.

Individual products and voluntary contact details

Basic aggregates also count openings and foreground viewing seconds for individual product details or enlarged product images. Timing stops when details close, the page is hidden or the window loses focus. Only a public product code is included, not a visitor identity. Detail time is part of page time and must not be added again.

The enquiry form offers optional additional phone/WhatsApp, email, company website and delivery region fields. Permission to reply to the enquiry is separate from optional bag-product news and offers; the marketing checkbox is unchecked by default. You must send the prepared WhatsApp message or email for us to receive your details. They are not stored in analytics. You may request an end to promotional contact at info@hongkongbag.com.hk.
